Jay Leno's last night officially is May 29, 2009. This will be a sad time for the Tonight Show for sure. Especially in lieu of his named replacement, Conan O'brien.

To insult the previous legends of comedy and late night stand-ups, naming Conan to a host spot, on the most viewed late night spot, is like moving Katie Couric to the CBS Evening News! No joke implied, but if it works go with it.

Jay Leno stands tall with his previous Tonight Show hosts, Jack Paar, and Johnny Carson. These three men have kept millions laughing and informed for decades just as America goes to sleep. The last thing most people want is to be informed, humored, and entertained prior to going to bed. To put Conan in this slot is cold dash of water that most Americans don't want. His humor is not a good fit for the Tonight Show.

Craig Ferguson is on after The Tonight Show, but you have to switch to CBS in order to avoid Conan O'brien. After doing late night comedy host for some time now, Craig would be a far better fit to replace Jay Leno, than Conan O'brien, don't you agree?

We all have our favorites in TV comedy, so let us know if you think Conan will continue keeping NBC on top of the late night ratings, or will he bomb the show worse than a heat seeking missle aimed at an erupting volcano?

Conan, stay with your day job as the Jack-in-the-Box character on those stupid commercials. It has to be you, how could there be 2 people so stupid and still have a job on TV.
